3 Biggest Storylines Heading Into WWE SummerSlam 2018

The biggest party of the summer will take place on Sunday with WWE SummerSlam 2018 looking to make a huge impact and shake things up in the WWE.
WWE SummerSlam 2018 is a stacked card with a lot of matches, several of them being high-profiled matches that should leave a lasting impression on the future of the WWE.
The storylines surrounding this pay-per-view have been pretty solid overall, but several have stood out above the rest. With that being said, let’s take a look at the three biggest storylines heading into WWE SummerSlam 2018.
3. The Dynamic Between Charlotte Flair And Becky Lynch
Two of the biggest driving forces of the women’s evolution that has taken the WWE by storm over the past few years are Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. The two former Horsewomen have blazed a trail throughout the WWE over the past few years, but they will have a huge opportunity at SummerSlam to make another big impact.
For a while, it seemed like Lynch would get her chance to dethrone SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella all by herself. But when Charlotte returned and knocked off Carmella in a match, Lynch’s odds of winning took a statistical step down when the match was changed to a Triple Threat Match.
The Irish Lass Kicker seemed to be upset her friend Charlotte was now in the match, but the two have appeared to be on the same page over the past couple of weeks. They might have been on the same page recently, but at WWE SummerSlam 2018, it’s every woman for herself. And that plays directly into the hands of The Princess Of Staten Island.
Carmella has kept her title by any means necessary over the past few months, so the inevitable disagreement between Lynch and Charlotte could be all the champ needs to keep her title. Maybe they will coexist enough to get the title off of Carmella, but that unknown aspect could be all the edge Carmella needs.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out, but expect something big to happen during this match with the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line.
