WWE Raw hasn’t been all that exciting lately. Most episodes are comprised of mostly stale, uninspired segments, with a few good bits sprinkled in. However, coming off of SummerSlam, one of WWE’s best pay per views in years, there is potential for tonight’s show to be absolutely stellar. Here’s why…
1. The Universal Championship
The WWE Universe breathed a collective sigh of relief Sunday night as Brock Lesnar’s vexatious 505 day title reign finally came to an end. Regardless of whether you love or hate Roman Reigns, most can probably agree that his victory at SummerSlam is a resounding positive for the product’s overall quality, especially for WWE Raw.
Even if you can’t agree with that, there seems to be a very good chance that Strowman is going to cash in and leave Brooklyn with the strap when it’s all said and done. So there’s plenty of directions for the narrative to take.
Regardless of where the story goes next, it’s nice to know that the WWE Universal Championship will be making weekly appearances on WWE Raw moving forward. I, for one, can’t wait to see what happens next with the red brand’s top prize. Will Roman further assert his dominance? Or will the Monster Among Men end The Big Dog’s reign before it can truly begin? Also, don’t forget about this:

Maybe Lesnar won’t be sent away to the UFC quite so easily after all… We’ll just have to wait and see what happens tonight. Surely Paul Heyman will have something up his sleeve.
