Since returning from injury, Ruby Riott and her Riott Squad stable have been involved in a fairly aimless feud with Sasha Banks, Bayley and Ember Moon. Despite this, Riott has continued to emerge from each contest as a stand out performer and has been relatively well protected from a booking perspective.

She is a hugely talented sports entertainer and her rebellious nature coupled with her unique look make her a huge star in waiting. All she really needs is a breakout performance or feud opposite a more established superstar. Enter Lita!

What better way to build up Ruby Riott than have her face off against the original anti-diva. The characters of both women are entrenched in the punk rock mythology and it would be a fascinating meeting of two non conforming athletes. From an in-ring perspective, Riott and Lita have styles that would heavily compliment each other and would allow the veteran to perform at a slower pace than usual if necessary.

And what of the additional members of the Riott Squad – Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan? A box office match like this should provide Ruby Riott with the opportunity to prove that she can handle herself without back up and ultimately will elevate her to a higher plain on the roster.
