Over two years since making her main roster debut, Bayley has failed to make the impression that many felt she would upon her arrival from NXT. While she does have one reign as RAW Women’s Champion to her name, she has largely been a peripheral figure on the red brand.

Her recent on-off feud with Sasha Banks has been a creative calamity and her character has seen next to no development during this period. If the feud with Banks has been parked and there are no immediate plans for Women’s Tag Team Championships to be introduced, then the Hugger needs a change of direction.

Bayley has often talked about her interest in a heel turn and entering a feud where she is likely to be the antagonist could facilitate this. The story of Bayley’s character is built around her being a super fan of sorts and this could be used to create her alignment change.

Perhaps she feels under appreciated during a backstage interaction with her idol, Lita, and this manifests itself as an unprovoked attack on the legend. However the creative team decide to approach a Bayley vs Lita feud, it has the potential to absolutely steal the show at Evolution.
