Most fans and pundits assumed that we were heading towards a Sasha Banks vs Trish Stratus match at Evolution, particularly after their interaction at the Royal Rumble. However, that honour has gone to Alexa Bliss in an equally thrilling match up between two eras.

Sasha Banks has consistently proven herself to be one of the elite performers in the WWE during her three years on the main roster. She is a four-time RAW Women’s Champion and was part of the first women’s match to main event a WWE pay-per-view.

Unfortunately, Banks has felt under utilised on RAW since her great rival, Charlotte Flair, moved to SmackDown Live after WrestleMania 33. Her current storyline with Bayley appears to be a wasted opportunity that is going nowhere fast and Banks must be a little frustrated as a performer.

The idea of Banks facing an iconic performer like Stratus or Lita has often been fantasy booked by the WWE Universe. The Boss wouldn’t show an ounce of respect to Lita and her brashness would only heighten the quality of the storytelling. This feud would be a perfect way to return Banks to relevance and to remind fans of the enduring quality of Lita.
