WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 should be an excellent follow-up to SummerSlam, which was likely the promotion’s best Pay Per View of the year so far. The feuds, especially on the SmackDown Live side, feel incredibly personal, which is conducive to at least a few memorable HIAC matches.

There are few Pay Per Views that feel as violent as Hell in a Cell, so WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 could be a show to remember for years to come. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe, Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair, Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton, and Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns are potential HIAC matches this year, because each of those feuds is meaningful in some way that goes beyond just the title on the line (though there is none in Hardy vs. Orton).

At SummerSlam, we saw new Universal, Intercontinental, Raw, and SmackDown Women’s Champions crowned during an eventful night. Reigns’s Universal Title victory over Brock Lesnar was easily the story of the show, but it leaves plenty of questions unanswered, especially after a red-hot main event that saw the Shield reunite to deny Braun Strowman a cash-in attempt.

Will Strowman get his revenge at Hell in a Cell? And what will Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins do on Sept. 16 when Hell in a Cell emanates from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Let’s do some very early match card predictions for the show, starting with the Shield.
