Bianca Belair Vs Deonna Purrazzo

Result: Bianca Belair Won with a Belair Driver

Grade: C+

Bianca Belair is slowly starting to look like one of the biggest talents in the NXT Women’s division, and she delivered once again tonight.

She has an excellent look and an in-ring style that really helps her stand out from the rest of the division.

Deonna Purrazzo got enough time to impress here as well, and she may be one to watch in the more in the more distant future.

The match went for around five minutes, with Belair dominating the majority of the action and then preventing a fightback from Purrazzo before hitting her with the Belair Driver for the three-count.

The purpose of this bout was clearly to help get Belair over more, and it succeeded in doing that. Belair has been one of the brand’s stand out stars since her performance in last year’s Mae Young Classic and it looks as though she is finally being prepped for a women’s title shot.

With rumours of Shayna Baszler being called up to the main roster in the imminent future, it looks as though the company will either give her her rematch early, or just forget about it and send it up, clearing the way for Belair to step up and take on Kairi Sane at NXT Takeover: WarGames II.
