Kevin Owens is coming off a pair of brutal matches against Braun Strowman and will be looking to get back on the winning track as he moves on from the Monster Among Men. Who will Owens set his eyes on with WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 on the horizon?
Owens’ only Pay Per View win this entire year came when his feet touched the ground first after Strowman flung him off the top of a steel cage at Extreme Rules, causing him to crash through the announce table. To say that The PrizeFighter needs a definitive victory at Hell in a Cell would be an understatement.
Over the past couple of months, Owens has been the literal punching bag for Strowman. Everyone knows that K.O. can and will take a punch and put his body through anything for the crowd’s entertainment. That being said, he still has the technical skill inside the ring, making him willing and able to compete with just about any superstar on the Raw roster.
With Strowman currently focused on the newly-formed Shield, Owens should be able to place his attention elsewhere. There is a mix of fresh faces and familiar foes that Owens could challenge at the upcoming Pay Per View. Bobby Lashley and Chad Gable are two guys that would be new and exciting matches for the former Universal Champion, but Lashley, in similar fashion to Strowman, would likely just overpower Owens en route to a victory, while Gable isn’t on the level of some of these other guys just yet.
Kevin Owens is one of the biggest stars the WWE has right now and Hell in a Cell is the perfect time for him to put on a show and get back on track as the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season approaches. With Brock Lesnar finally out of the picture, it is the right time for another dastardly heel to step up, and with a big win, Owens could position himself as the guy once again on Monday Night Raw.
