NXT wrestlers almost certainly find a gimmick that suits them eventually. In fact, this cast of characters have constituted WWE’s best weekly show for years now. But, make no mistake, some NXT wrestlers are in desperate need of a new character.

NXT is the most fun show that WWE puts on every single week. Bar none, the characters mixed with the wrestling has made the yellow brand the must-see show, for the biggest wrestling company on the planet. NXT feels like its own brand now, so much more different than Raw or SmackDown Live, and this is, in large part, due to the characters present on Wednesday nights.

NXT builds their characters unlike any other show in the WWE. RawSmackDown Live, and 205 Live all have their distinct feels, but nothing is as clear-cut as with NXT. The entire brand is loaded top to bottom with unique personalities, clever writing, and of course, incredible wrestling matches. There are some very distinct outliers, though.

Whether by their own merit, or a gimmick just not clicking, some of the wrestlers in WWE’s developmental brand just don’t have… “it.” Whatever “it” is, describing it is hard, but when you know, you know. See here: Velveteen Dream. In any case, there are three wrestlers that immediately come to mind when you think of needing a repackage before heading to main roster.
