2. Braun Strowman

This is the most obvious candidate to face Roman Reigns in the near future, because he’s already tried to push his way into a match with The Big Dog. Immediately after Reigns defeated Finn Balor in last-gasp fashion, Braun Strowman appeared poise to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. But just before the bell rang, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins attacked Strowman, preventing him from being able to cash-in the briefcase.

It was an incredible moment, and it had fans worried that Strowman would become the second straight man to lose his Money in the Bank briefcase. However, Strowman remains “Mr. Monster in the Bank”, and his hatred for Reigns has likely reached new heights after he was triple-powerbombed through the announce table by The Shield.

Strowman could easily be Reigns’s opponent at Hell in a Cell, because I could envision him cashing in the briefcase at a predetermined date, a la John Cena. Then, Strowman and Reigns could tear the roof off the place in the main event of Hell in a Cell inside of the structure, with Braun standing a decent chance of upsetting Reigns here.

Reigns could very well remain Universal Champion up until WrestleMania 35, which means Strowman could, sadly, lose the briefcase. That would not be a good situation for him, but I’m not so sure Reigns loses the Universal Title within months of his SummerSlam victory.
