As last week’s episode of WWE Raw came to an end, The Shield reunited to take out Braun Strowman — something no one saw coming. So what can we predict for this week’s show?

Well, dear readers, I’m ashamed to admit that I did NOT see that coming. Last week, just before WWE Raw came to an end, Braun Strowman failed to get the chance to cash in his Money in the Bank contract thanks to a reunion of The Shield. It was a terrific moment, and a . nice cherry on the top of a pretty good Raw in the wake of SummerSlam.

Ronda Rousey also made a huge statement last week, as the new Raw Women’s Champion attempted to snap Stephanie McMahon’s arm off. Of course, that led to a promotion for Constable Baron Corbin at the expense of Kurt Angle, so just how good a move that was by Rousey remains to be seen.

But that was last week — now let’s focus on how WWE is going to follow up on their momentum. Let’s not waste any time: here are five predictions for the August 27 episode of WWE Raw.

I Am The Law

In the wake of all the other excitement last week on Raw, Baron Corbin became the acting general manager of the brand. Because if we were missing anything on Monday nights, it was the presence of a heel authority figure. But now that the former (and still?) constable is in charge for the foreseeable future, it’s pretty obvious he’s only there to make life miserable for, well, everyone. It’s just a matter of time before he goes power crazy, and starts acting mad.

I’m tempted to say he’s going to book himself in a Universal Championship match, but as long as Braun Strowman is lurking with the MITB briefcase that’s a long shot. Maybe he’ll make a push for the Intercontinental Championship, although Seth Rollins seems to have some backup these days.

Well, there’s always calling Finn Bálor short for a month!
