WWE Raw: The Shield Must Hijack The Show This Week

The Shield reunited once more on WWE Raw ending the show on a high note last week. The Hounds of Justice must ride on that momentum this week and hijack the show as Constable Corbin is in charge.

Whether or not you are a fan of WWE Raw at the moment, I am pretty sure you popped big time when the Shield’s music hit the PA system as Braun Strowman was about to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract. The Hounds of Justice reunited out of the blue, with no prior indication to take out the Monster Among Men. The trio of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose went back to their heel ways during the act. However, it is still too early to refer to them as heels. At best, they are anti-heroes.

The ending of the show last week left us all dazed and glued to our screens, wondering what could happen this week. Strowman will be out for revenge but he is outnumbered and the Monster isn’t the most liked person in the locker room as superstars are often afraid of him. What will happen this week? Will the Hounds make their presence known once again?

Something else we need to be aware of this week is that Kurt Angle will be absent from the show. Commissioner Stephanie McMahon has sent the GM on a vacation and has put Constable Corbin in charge of the show this week. This seems like an ideal opportunity for the Shield to take over the show. Remember last year when the trio was reunited and how they surrounded the ring, entering through the crowd and scaring Kurt Angle?

Creative should let this scene play out once more. As Corbin opens the show and begins to go on a rant about how he is going to handle things his way, the Hounds should surround the Lonewolf and take care of business right away. With no other authority figures in charge, the Universal Champion Roman Reigns can then proceed to make his own match. He can give another fan favorite a shot at the title perhaps.

In addition, Seth Rollins can play double duty once more by first defending his Inter Continental title against someone like Bobby Roode or Bobby Lashley. Speaking of which, may be someone should par up the two ‘Bobs’ into a tag team of some sorts, seeing as they have got nothing going for them at the moment. Anyhow, Seth and Dean can make one more match on their own, to face the B-Team for the Raw tag team titles, ensuring that all the gold on Monday nights ends up with the Hounds of Justice by the end of the night.

This will be yet another electric way to close out the show and will keep the fans on their toes as to what could unfold the following week. Will Stephanie McMahon return to confront the trio? What repercussions could await them? Creative can play up a number of options and we would have a dominant faction hijacking the show after a long long time.
