The Velveteen Dream vs. Keith Lee

When he hasn’t been dropping hints about his possible call-up in a way that makes him sound like a Philadelphia 76ers fan, The Velveteen Dream has taken some steps to drop some subtle hints as to who he will feud with next. During his feud with EC3, Dream mentioned on several occasions that he wanted “The One Percenter” to “bask in his experience”. The NXT creative team seems to have doubled down on that phrase. Take a look at this:

Dream’s character seems to be more about “creating moments” with well known indie darlings, so a potential feud with Keith Lee seems to be on deck. While there’s a big part of me that wishes that Dream’s character would care a little more about winning championships (since that’s kind of the point of having wrestling matches kayfabe-wise), I’m happy to see creative reward his hard work with all of these showcase matches.

It may not happen right away, but I do expect Dream to receive a promotion sooner rather than later. In the interim, he can continue to gain valuable experience tangling with some of the best grapplers in the world. Feuding with the “Limitless” one will only help his upward trajectory.
