WWE Hell In A Cell 2018: 3 Reasons Why Becky Lynch Should Win

After a disappointing decision by WWE to turn Becky Lynch heel, the Superstar clinched an opportunity for the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair at WWE Hell In A Cell 2018. There’s three reasons why she should win.

WWE pay-per-views can be brutal experiences, and in no other event is that clear more so than in Hell In A Cell.

As the tenth event in the Hell In A Cell chronology, the pay-per-view will feature the typical Hell In A Cell cage match (a vicious fight within the five-sided cuboid made from open-weave steel mesh chain-link fencing), and various title fights from both of the SmackDown Live and Raw brands. As of Tuesday night, the SmackDown Women’s Championship is one of those titles up for grabs; a match now currently scheduled to be Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair.

During this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, WWE made the confusing decision to turn company babyface Lynch heel after she was pinned by Flair during a triple-threat match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, a title that was then held by Carmella.

After turning heel for the first time since 2015, Lynch was featured in a number of heel-themed promos, stating that the fans were never actually behind her, and that she was denied multiple opportunities by WWE, that instead went to Flair.

She’s not completely wrong in her evaluation. Though the WWE Universe is very clearly in support of Lynch, made clear by the positive crowd chants that occur anytime Lynch is the focus of the camera, WWE has failed to allow Lynch to live up to the potential we all know she has.

The following is three reasons why Lynch should be allowed to fully live up to that potential, and snag the SmackDown Women’s Championship title at WWE Hell In A Cell 2018.
