Is KO headed to back to WWE Raw so soon? Photo Source: WWE.com via Twitter
A week ago, Kevin Owens walked out on the WWE Universe. What could be in store this week on WWE Raw?
As the summer winds down with the Labor Day holiday in the United States, WWE Raw is still on the television schedule this week. Jeez, the superstars really do need a union, huh?
But just because the performers for the worldwide leader don’t get to barbecue today doesn’t mean we’re going to skip out on our predictions for the week. For once, WWE has actually announced several things slated to take place on the show this week. Those events range from the mildly entertaining (The Bellas back in action) to the oh no not again (The Revival get another shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships). And hey, Shawn Michaels is on the show, too!
So without further ado, let’s get to five predictions for this week’s episode of WWE Raw.
You Can Look, But You Can’t Riott
In a backstage segment on last week’s Raw, Nikki and Brie Bella palled around with Trish Stratus, Natalya, and Ronda Rousey. If it wasn’t for the presence of The Baddest Woman on the Planet, I’d have sworn we hit a time loop.
But in the midst of that came the announcement that The Bella Twins were returning to action tonight to face the Riott Squad. Leaving aside the fact that Brie literally just got involved in a huge feud on SmackDown Live, why does this need to be done? We know what both Bellas are capable of in the ring.
Yes, Evolution is around the corner, so it’s probably a way to get some ring rust off the Bellas before then. It’s also probably going to kick off a way too long story in the women’s division that ultimately pits Nikki against Rousey for the title. Even though that may be a good match, it doesn’t need two months of build.
For tonight, though, I expect Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan to be the sacrificial lambs for the Bellas. Ruby will try to interfere, but Rousey will come down to even the odds and “steal the thunder,” which kicks everything in motion.
