WWE Raw: The Shield Got ‘Arrested’ For Absolutely No Reason

On tonight’s episode of WWE Raw in Columbus, Ohio, The Shield were arrested for absolutely no reason. Like, for the life of me, I cannot figure out a storyline reason why those three were arrested and Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, and Braun Strowman were not.

Braun Strowman solidified his heel turn on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw by cutting a promo against the crowd, Roman Reigns, and the rest of The Shield. Recall that last week on Raw, Strowman turned on Reigns during a main event tag match, aligning himself with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre ahead of his Universal Title match against Reigns inside Hell in a Cell.

That battle for the Universal Championship figures to be one of the most exciting bouts of 2018, especially considering the fact that Strowman and Reigns have worked their magic in violent matches before. Now that Strowman is a heel and has doubled down on his hatred for Reigns, the match should be even more exciting.

After Strowman was done talking, The Shield interrupted the trio of Strowman, McIntyre, and Ziggler from their promo to begin a massive brawl. Even all the superstars backstage could not hold The Shield back from Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre, as Rollins plowed through the other wrestlers to begin a hot pursuit backstage.

WWE backstage reported Mike Rome furthered the storyline in a strange way by relaying that The Shield were arrested. He could not give any updates on the “charges” issued to WWE’s number-one ranked faction of all-time, but he did give one brief update afterwards.

So let me get this straight…The Shield were arrested, processed, and fingerprinted? For what exactly? What was so heinous about their actions that this was cause for an arrest? And why were they targeted and not Strowman, McIntyre, or Ziggler? So many questions.

Whatever the case, this is definitely entertaining, because there has to be some sort of fallout from it. A match between The Shield and Strowman/McIntyre/Ziggler on Raw’s go-home show before Hell in a Cell would be an amazing main event to build hype towards the matches at HIAC, which could include Ziggler vs. Rollins for the IC Title somewhere before the main event of Reigns and Strowman inside Hell in a Cell.

We’ll wait patiently for further updates from Rome, who is “on the scene” in Columbus for more updates about this surprising arrest. I mean, we’re still looking for some answers…
