If you thought you saw the last of Brock Lesnar in the Universal Championship picture for the remainder of 2018, then you would be damn wrong. He showed up at WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 to ruin the main event of the show.
There was plenty of hype for Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns inside of WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 in the main event of the show, as Strowman cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase in advance just for this match.
It looks like he picked the wrong spot, and it also looks like WWE turned Strowman heel for no reason.
Brock Lesnar, as reported by PW Insider’s Mike Johnson, was backstage in San Antonio, Texas for Hell in a Cell. He made his appearance in the show’s main event, because while Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins put their bodies on the line by crashing through a table, Lesnar crashed the title match by kicking down the door of the cell.
He and Paul Heyman unleashed an assault on the main event, with Heyman spraying something in special guest referee Mick Foley’s eyes after cursing loudly. Meanwhile, Lesnar went into the ring to pick on the bones of Strowman and Reigns, who had been going to war inside the cell.
Lesnar hit Strowman with an F5. Then he hit Roman Reigns with an F5 on top of Strowman. Another referee came in to ring the bell, signifying the end of the show and the end of the Universal Title match. There was no winner, no conclusion, and an arena left with a myriad of questions about this strange main event.
The focus was rarely on Strowman and Reigns, as the most dramatic portions of the match involved Dean Ambrose, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and Dolph Ziggler scaring the hell out of all of us by fighting on top of Hell in a Cell.

Lesnar’s return to WWE might not be met with positivity by the fanbase, seeing as how WWE did their best to make sure the fans hate his guts by booking him as a lazy part-timer. But he and Heyman are back, and they are gunning for Reigns’s Universal Championship. This is in spite of the fact that nobody has received a true rematch for the title after losing it, and it was Raw GM Kurt Angle who proclaimed that he would not give a rematch to Lesnar.
But now, Baron Corbin is Raw’s “Acting GM”, and Heyman and Lesnar seem ready to take matters into their own hands when it comes to carving out another opportunity at Reigns’s Universal Title. Knowing that Reigns is a fighting champion, he won’t say no at the opportunity to defeat Lesnar again, even though he’s lost to Lesnar more times than he’s won.
Tomorrow night’s episode of Raw should be exciting, and hopefully we get some answers. This was a strange main event, and I can’t think of anyone who expected Lesnar to show up with Heyman to completely change the course of Raw.
