We see a brief backstage video with Velveteen Dream being interviewed about his next move now that he has beaten Johnny Gargano.

Dream says that he finds it disgusting that people want to talk about any body other than him given that he beat NXT’s golden boy.

This was a nice segment and a good way to continue the feud between Velveteen Dream and Johnny Gargano.

Jaxson Ryker Vs Humberto Carrillo

Result: Jaxson Ryker wins with a slingshot powerbomb

To those who thought they recognised Jaxson Ryker on last night’s episode of NXT, that’s because he is former TNA/Impact star, Gunner.

Jaxson looked very impressive in what was a very quick squash match here. His slingshot powerbomb is one hell of an impressive move and Carrillo did a great job of selling it.

It will be interesting to see where the WWE go with Ryker in the coming months.

Candice LaRae is questioned by William Regal

The ongoing Aleister Black investigation is one of the most intriguing storylines on NXT at the moment, and things took an extra turn this week, as Johnny Gargano’s wife, Candice LaRae was questioned by William Regal.

During the interview, LaRae was insistent that NXT champion, Tommaso Ciampa was the assailant, but Regal revealed that he knew it wasn’t Ciampa, forcing LaRae to provide a questionable alibi for her partner, Johnny Gargano.

Johnny Gargano’s turn towards the dark side is one of the most interesting things in the WWE at the moment, and if he is revealed to be Black’s attacker, then it will certainly have some interesting implications for him going forward.
