Impact Wrestling: It’s Time For Su Yung and Allie To Join Forces

facebooktwitterreddit

Since her Impact Wrestling debut in March, the Impact roster at large has been plagued by a haunting force, the terrifyingly powerful undead bride that is former Knockout’s Champion Su Yung. No one has been left unaffected by Su’s wrath, particularly Allie, who’s made it her mission to avenge Knockouts laid-out by Su and her Undead Bridesmaids. However, it may be time for the two to band together to stop a greater evil.

Su Yung is practically a force of nature. Her character is one of the most original, most interesting, and the most down-right horrifying I have ever seen. Her uniqueness serves only to bolster the depth of the current Impact Knockout’s Division.

However, there may be a lot of Knockouts who wouldn’t necessarily agree with that statement. One of said Knockout’s is former Knockout’s Champion Allie, who has made it her mission to destroy Su since Su “killed” and “buried” both Allie’s close ally, Rosemary, and Madison Rayne.

This feud, while red-hot at its conception, has staled as of late, with the only developments being continually booking tag matches between Allie and Kiera Hogan, and Su and her Undead Maid of Honor. The feud has lost it’s fire, and maybe that’s a sign that Impact should change the direction of the relationship between Su and Allie.

You see, the main point of contention between Su and Allie is that Allie was concerned that Su was completely taking out other knockouts, and with good reason; Allie’s close friend, Rosemary, and Madison Rayne both fell victim to Su and her Bridesmaids and have yet to be seen or heard from on Impact programming since.

However, there’s an important note to be taken here. While we don’t condone the use of zombified wedding parties and conflagrations to get ahead, Su Yung only disposed of women who either came after her, or stood in the way of her and her Knockouts Championship.

Since she lost the championship, there has been only one person Su tried to book a plot for, and that’s current Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard, the same Tessa Blanchard who has been a thorn in Allie’s side side Tessa’s debut, and who walks freely about the women’s locker room now like she owns everything and everyone inside of it.

Has everyone ever heard the old adage, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend?”

It would probably be a shorter-lived storyline, and it may result in the two turning on each other down the line yet again, but the best way for Impact to book the continuing relationship (or lack there of) between Su Yung and Allie may be have them set aside their differences now and band together to stop a new evil on the Knockouts roster, the ever-growing ego of Tessa Blanchard.

Tessa has beaten both Allie and Su at this point, so it’s obvious that just one of them isn’t enough. Allie may have to be willing to reconsider the opinion that even a brat like Tessa doesn’t deserve to fall at the hands Su Yung, because it may be for the greater good of the Knockouts division.

I personally would love to see how this would affect the relationship between Rosemary and Allie upon Rosemary’s return to Impact. Rosemary warned Allie not to let the darkness consume her, and an alliance with Su, no matter how purposeful, is very indicative of the darkness in Allie.
