WWE SmackDown: 3 Dream Singles Feuds for Zelina Vega

3. Carmella

As a woman from New York City, there is nothing I love more than seeing powerful women from New York put on for my city, all while running, corkscrewing, and superkicking circles around their competition. Though this quite frankly would be a match-up I’d want to see saved for a women’s tag team, I think it could make just as great a case for a SmackDown power-feud.

This match-up is all about attitude. In the cases of both Zelina and Carmella, this feud could be an opportunity to fine tune some promo skills that neither have been able to showcase yet; in the case of Carmella, it’s a chance to bring the energy she put into her character as a heel and tune it towards getting the crowd reaction positively, and for Zelina, it’s a chance to boast about her own accomplishments and goals instead of Andrade’s.

I personally would love to see the feud in the works come Wrestlemania 35 time, when WWE sets up the grandest stage of them all in the New York metropolitan area. Even though Carmella is only a kayfabe New Yorker, this is the kind of feud that could build quickly and boldly, with the talk on both sides really bringing the fire. It’s a feud the New York crowds would love, and probably even relate to on some levels.
