WWE SmackDown 1000 needs these six stars to appear in order for the occasion to be as grand as it deserves to be.

After almost 20 years on the air, WWE SmackDown is set to celebrate 1,000 episodes on October 16th with an event emanating from Washington D.C. Unlike 2012’s Raw 1000 extravaganza, however, the company has done very little to make this show mean as much as possible up to this point.

With so many other things going on at the moment between Super Show-Down, Evolution and Crown Jewel, it seems SmackDown 1000 has been completely neglected by WWE. Then again, that has been the story of SmackDown dating back to its debut, so the lack of hype for the milestone episode should hardly come as a surprise.

To the company’s credit, they have officially advertised Evolution reuniting on SmackDown 1000, but nothing else as of this writing. Even still, that will be a major happening, if only because it will mark Batista’s first appearance on WWE programming since 2014.

The Animal was a cornerstone of SmackDown for several years and helped make the brand what it is today. Without him, SmackDown wouldn’t have attained nearly as much success as it has, which is why having him show up at SmackDown 1000 was imperative.

However, Batista and The Undertaker (who has already been announced for the event as well) are far from the only ones who should be returning for SmackDown’s 1,000th episode celebration. The following six stars lead the list.
