The Oct. 8 edition of WWE Raw was one of the most eventful Monday nights in recent memory with plenty of marquee moments and surprising twists taking place.

Last night’s WWE Raw saw an Attitude Era staple return, the return of an Olympic Gold Medalist, a couple of key heel turns, and a surprising twist regarding the Evolution pay-per-view to name just a few.

This was the best episode of the red brand in a while from start to finish and it did a lot to excite the WWE universe.  Let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the Oct. 8 edition of WWE Raw.

5. Bobby Lashley And Kevin Owens’ Apparent Double Turn Should Shake Up Both Characters

The return of Bobby Lashley to the WWE over the past several months has seen its share of ups and downs.  The ups included beating Roman Reigns clean at a pay-per-view, but the lows include a serious lack of direction since that time and a floundering state.

That floundering state is starting to get better as of late since Lashley has a new hype man and manager, Lio Rush.  His recent feud with Kevin Owens hasn’t done a whole lot lately, but last night was a key night for both men and could go down as the single most important night for both men moving forward.

Lashley battled Owens last night in one-on-one action with Rush hyping up the match on the outside on the mic throughout much of the match.  The match would eventually go in the favor of Lashley as he picked up the win, but the real story came after the match when there appeared to be a double turn between the two men.

Rush encouraged Lashley to attack Owens after the match and he was relentless in his attempts to take out KO.  Lashley’s whole attitude changed and it continued backstage with a promo addressing Finn Balor and Bayley.  This could wind up being a big turn of events and it appears as if Lashley is now a heel and Owens could now be a babyface for the first time on the main roster.

This could be a great move for both men and their respective characters that started to feel stale in recent memory.
