1. The DX Army Era

Nobody thought the original era of DX could ever be topped when fans learned that Shawn Michaels would be forced into early retirement following WrestleMania 14 in 1998.  However, the underrated at that time Triple H would take the ball and run with it to the point where DX wouldn’t lose a beat.

The night after WrestleMania 14, Triple H became the new leader of the new DX Army and would add the returning X-Pac to the fold along with existing member Chyna.  Later in the night, he added The New Age Outlaws as well and the new DX was off and running.  The months that followed would be the peak of DX’s run in the WWE.

They invaded WCW Monday Nitro with a tank to get things started fast in one of the most iconic moments in WWE history.  After that, a standout feud with The Nation Of Domination took shape and the careers of Triple H and The Rock reached another level when they tore the house down at SummerSlam 1998 in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship.

DX also impersonated The Nation on an early-July episode of Raw that ranks among the funniest moments in DX history.  The group was also a key component in Mankind’s improbable WWE Championship win on the January 4, 1999 edition of Raw.  But as 1999 took shape, DX members gradually started turning on each other, culminating with Triple H and Chyna turning heel and joining The Corporation by WrestleMania 15.
