Tonight when SmackDown Live airs on the USA Network, it won’t be like any regular Tuesday. Tonight is SmackDown1000, and it’s jam-packed and full of the best superstars of SmackDowns Past and today.

It’s another big milestone for WWE; they air their 1000th episode of SmackDown Live tonight, and if it’s anything like their last milestone episode (anyone remember Raw 25?), well then I’m nor sure how I feel.

Already announced for the show first and foremost is the return on WWE legend Rey Mysterio, who made a surprise comeback at this year’s Royal Rumble, a moment I personally will never forget being a fan live in the Philadelphia audience.

Tonight, Rey Mysterio returns with a match against Shinsuke Nakamura, which, holy cow, what a dream match. Unfortunately, it is for WWE’s ill-planned World Cup tournament, and tonight will see one man eliminated.

Though I’m not sure how important this match will prove as far as any development into a potential feud goes, I’m hoping this match will at least main-event tonight and that WWE gives it enough time to breathe and enough time for us to really appreciate the fact that we’re watching a Rey Mysterio vs. Shinsuke Namakura match in WWE.

Additionally, former WWE stable Evolution will be reuniting for tonight’s occasion, and not only will we get to see Triple H appear on the blue brand, but we’ll see the return of Rick Flair and Dave Bautista, who made his last real appearance with WWE at an NXT show in June of 2014 before parting ways with WWE.

My wild card prediction for this match is that there will be a little something brewing between Triple H and Randy Orton, who’s been decidedly heelish the last couple of months, that could set up a potential match between the two later on, but that may be a long shot.

The Miz will face off against Rusev in another qualifying match for WWE World Cup. Something tells me Aidan English isn’t done with notion that he can break up Rusev and Lana (that something being years and years of watching WWE programming), and that may play into the results of tonight’s contest.

Last but certainly not least, tonight The Undertaker returns for his first SmackDown Live appearance since SmackDown’s 900th episode, just before Survivor Series 2016. No word yet on what Undertaker will be doing in the ring tonight, but do you really need to know in order to be excited about it? I thought so.
