History was made with WWE SmackDown 1000, a night filled with reminiscing on some of the greatest moments in blue brand history over the past 19 years.

Last night’s WWE SmackDown 1000 saw the returns of the likes of Evolution, Edge, Rey Mysterio, and past GM’s such as Teddy Long, John Laurinaitis, and Vickie Guerrero in a banner night for the blue brand.

In the midst of the reminiscing, several important modern-day moments took place that should greatly affect Tuesday nights.  With that being said, let’s take a look at a few grades from WWE SmackDown 1000.

5. Truth TV

Last night was a historic night for the blue brand in every sense and seeing it join the 1,000 episode club is an impressive feat.  So naturally, there was no better way to kick off the 1,000th episode of SmackDown than with R-Truth and Carmella, right?

Truth TV was a hit a few weeks ago and it remained a hit last night when it opened up the show.  Truth and Carmella were in a celebratory kind of mood in honor of the 1,000th episode of SmackDown and after the first impromptu dance break, they called down their first guest in Raw commissioner and former SmackDown GM Stephanie McMahon.

In typical Stephanie form, she hyped herself up, but it was cut short when current blue brand commissioner Shane McMahon interrupted her.  After Shane came out, the siblings bickered back and forth with Stephanie taking a couple shots at SmackDown while Shane called it the real A-show.  And then, the boss made his presence felt with the most famous walk in pro wrestling.

Vince McMahon addressed the situation and said nobody wants to see Shane and Stephanie bickering.  Instead, he reminded everybody that the “E” in WWE stands for entertainment.  The Chairman then declared for an impromptu dance break, much to the appreciation of everyone in attendance, especially Truth and Carmella.  This was an enjoyable way to kick off the historic 1,000th episode of SmackDown.

Not many would have imagined Truth TV kicking off a night like this, but it worked quite well and seeing Vince dancing was worth watching it by itself.

Final Grade: B+
