WWE SmackDown 1000 Top Three Moments: Becky Lynch Took The Ball

WWE SmackDown 1000 was a celebration of one thousand episodes of SmackDown, and three moments stood out above the rest during an action-packed two hours.
Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair has stolen the spotlight as SmackDown Live’s best feud this fall, and they managed to steal the show again at WWE SmackDown 1000. But there were plenty of other highlights on a show that included an Evolution reunion, a Big Show “turn”, and a SmackDown Tag Team Championship title change.
For months, SmackDown has been WWE’s “A” show in terms of quality, even rivaling NXT and 205 Live as a consistently entertaining show. Despite being two hours long, SmackDown is usually a breeze, and the 1000th episode was no exception. It was honestly a better show than Raw 25, with more than enough legends of the show returning for cameos, matches, or lengthy promos.
WWE did try to hype that abomination that is “Crown Jewel”, but they were met with a chorus of boos from a wonderfully attentive and fired-up Washington D.C. crowd. The fans were here to enjoy the blending of past and present that celebrated an iconic wrestling show, as opposed to any advertisement of a propaganda show for the oppressive Saudi Arabian regime.
As for SmackDown, the name itself conjures up feelings of nostalgia and callbacks to legends like Eddie Guerrero and The Rock. There was plenty of nostalgia in this show, but the current crop of talent found a way to shine, too.
Here were the three greatest moments from SmackDown 1000.
