WWE NXT announced Chelsea Green as one of the newest additions to the Performance Center, and the former Knockouts Champion and WWE Tough Enough competitor will make her first NXT Live Event appearances next week.

Chelsea Green is one of the most well-liked and charismatic wrestlers in the world right now, so the WWE Universe was enthused to hear her announced as one of the newest signings to the WWE NXT Performance Center.

Speculation of Green potentially joining NXT first started swirling in the summer when she had a tryout at the Performance Center, and “rovert” broke the news that Green signed with WWE on Oct. 10.

Now that Green is officially a member of the NXT roster, she will make her first live event appearances for the “Black and Yellow” brand next week. She announced on Instagram that she will appear at the live event in Cocoa, Florida on Oct. 25, as well as a live event in Largo on Oct. 26.

It looks like Green will bring her “Hot Mess” character, which has been wildly successful and was the strongest part of Impact Wrestling at one point, to WWE. That should pique the interest of many fans, as this character is one of the most entertaining and unique in all of wrestling.

Green joined Punishment Martinez, Matt Riddle, and Mia Yim. Riddle is set to make his NXT TV debut soon, and it will be interesting to see when the others join him. Yim and Green are just the latest high-profile women’s wrestlers to sign with WWE, as the company has added Candice LeRae, Deonna Purrazzo, and Io Shirai to NXT in 2018.

Fans who have an opportunity to see Green live for the first time in NXT will be in for a treat. She’s kicked up her work to another level this year, as she stood out on big stages as “Reklusa” in Lucha Underground and in the Women’s Fatal Four-Way match at “All In”. Green has always been talented, and after rejecting her from “Tough Enough”, WWE finally has a wrestler with one of the highest ceilings in thus business.

That’s high praise, but in Green and the Velveteen Dream, WWE have wisely circled back to two wrestlers who can grab headlines and dazzle audiences for years to come. Her appearance at NXT’s Live Events next week will start an exciting chapter in her career.
