Tonight on WWE SmackDown Live, we’ll see a rematch from last week between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan, and The Usos. Spoiler alert – it probably won’t end any better than it did last week.

The air in WWE is still very thick a day after Universal Champion Roman Reigns announced at the beginning of Raw that he would be relinquishing his title to battle a returning diagnosis of leukemia. SmackDown is usually naturally the lighter of the two shows, so hopefully we can find some positivity on the show tonight.

In a rematch from last week, WWE Champion AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan, who will face each other for the Championship at Crown Jewel, team up to face The Usos in tag action. There was of course a couple of misfires in the match last week that lead to some tension between Styles and Bryan, and you bet your bottom there will be some more tonight.

Over the weekend, Charlotte made an appearance at the WWE Performance Center where she gave a speech of sorts to the female recruits there. Becky Lynch completely blind-sighted her, and the two brawled pretty heatedly.

WWE and SmackDown officials “investigated the matter” and “there may be fallout” on tonight’s episode. Honestly, it’s not a bad hype-move at all. Was is necessary? No, not really, especially because we’re all hyped up about it as it is.

Besides, where do you even go from there? How to we raise the stakes more than a Last Woman Standing match? Do we even try? We shall see.

Rey Mysterio is back in the game, and he’s appearing on Miz TV tonight after winning a “World” Cup qualifier last week against Shinsuke Nakamura.

Will this spark a feud between Mysterio and Miz? Perhaps, and I wouldn’t be opposed to it. Will Nakamura come out and give Mysterio a low-blow and further a feud there? Crossing my fingers!

Mandy Rose and Naomi will also face off tonight in another example of How To Use Social Media to Book Your matches, in a match WWE specifies as “a first time ever” match. We’ll also see Rusev finally get his hands on Aiden English legally within the confines of a ring. Maybe today will be Rusev Day after all!

Tune in with us tonight for live results and reviews of tonight’s SmackDown Live, and tune in to watch the action tonight at 8PM/7PM Central on the USA Network (that I now subscribe to instead of schlepping over to my mother’s house to mooch off her cable)!
