WWE Raw: Results, Review, and Analysis for October 29th, 2018
A loud and shaky “oh wow” escapes my throat when Seth Rollins enters the ring this early. He’s introduced only as the Intercontinental Champion, and he only carries in his Intercontinental Championship.
He partially blames himself for Dean turning his back on him; maybe Dean never got over Seth’s betrayal, and he let it fester so much that it blew up at exactly the wrong time.
When he calls Dean out to the ring, Dean’s music hits, but there’s no Dean in sight. Thanks to the crowd, though, we can tell he’s in the stands.
Seth demands that Dean come down to the ring and explain to him why he did what he did. Dean makes it about two steps down, with a microphone in his hand, and says not a thing.
Seth goes off, calling Dean all the names in an Iowa boy’s book of swears. Seth calls Dean a “soulless lunatic” all while Dean sneers from above.
Seth’s taking the party upstairs, but before he can leave ringside, Dean retreats into the back.
The fact that the crowd brought back the “you sold out” chants to mirror Seth’s betrayal of the Shield four years ago was the cherry on top of this emotional segment.
