Yes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch Is ‘The Man’, And She Should Totally Fight You

OK, sure, Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura has been a dream match for many WWE fans, but let me tell you something, Becky Lynch vs. Rollins would be an even better Survivor Series champion vs. champion clash.

It’s well-established that Becky Lynch is “The Man” in WWE, and it has everything to do with the way she carries herself as the SmackDown Women’s Champion. Lynch took all of Charlotte Flair’s best shots and still left Evolution as “The Champ”, producing the main roster’s clear “Match of the Year” in the process.

Lynch’s reign as the SmackDown Women’s Championship has been excellent, and she’s been overshadowing Seth Rollins, who has probably been the best wrestler of 2018 when considering his work throughout the course of the year.

Rollins is busy dealing with Dean Ambrose, as the two will make each other’s lives a living hell. So maybe he shouldn’t have been so quick to call out Lynch on Twitter. He’s lucky that Lynch took this playful jab in stride, because he could’ve had a real problem on his hands.

Rollins used to call himself “The Man” in WWE, but that title has to go to Becky now. It’s nice that “The Kingslayer”, who has more nicknames than even he can probably keep track of, still thinks of himself in that way, but Becky knows that he’s just “a” man in comparison to her.

Some WWE fans have been pining for intergender wrestling to become more of a thing, especially with Candice LeRae in the thick of a personal rivalry between Johnny Gargano and Aleister Black. It may not happen for the forseeable future, but it’s interactions like this that make you want to see a woman put a man in his place. Multiply that times a thousand when it’s someone as bad-ass and charismatic at Becky Lynch.

But Becky has to worry about a different self-proclaimed bad-ass, as the so-called “Baddest Woman on the Planet”, Ronda Rousey, beckons as Becky’s Survivor Series opponent. That champion vs. champion feud looks even more exciting than Rollins vs. Nakamura, and it will most likely be the main event of Survivor Series.

If Becky does main event over Rollins, it’ll only be further evidence that, yes, she is “The Man”. Rollins should consider himself lucky that Becky played nice and didn’t totally ether him. Judging by her disses of Rousey, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss, she’s more than capable of dishing out some third-degree burns on social media.
