The Nov. 5 edition of WWE Raw saw a few key Survivor Series developments along with a title change that was months in the making.

Last night’s WWE Raw wasn’t an overall great show, but it did feature a few noteworthy moments including new Raw Tag Team Champions and key developments heading into Survivor Series in less than two weeks.

With Crown Jewel in the rearview mirror, the red brand’s focus will be on one-upping its blue brand predecessor at Survivor Series.  With that being said, let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the Nov. 5 edition of WWE Raw.

5. The Riott Squad Finally Feels Like A Legitimate Heel Group

Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan have yet to find true levels of success on the main roster in the WWE.  Despite the potential being there, The Riott Squad just hasn’t clicked yet, with most of that coming courtesy of a lack of direction by creative.

Every time this trio gets involved in any type of feud, it’s inevitable that it won’t go anywhere and that The Riott Squad will likely come up short.  However, last night saw a possible step in the right direction when the trio faced Natalya, Sasha Banks, and Bayley in six-woman tag team action in an Evolution rematch.

Natalya had extra motivation in this match when she came out wearing her late father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart’s, sunglasses.  The match was going well for a while and it looked like Nattie’s side would get yet another win over The Riott Squad, but everything changed towards the end when Ruby crossed a line that stopped this match dead in its tracks.

Natalya had Logan in the sharpshooter and it looked like she was seconds away from victory, but Ruby grabbed the sunglasses Natalya wore to the ring to distract her.  She took it too far when he snapped the sunglasses in half and stomped on them afterward.  This shook Nattie to her very core with Banks and Bayley providing support to her ringside after the match ended in a no contest.

This despicable move was probably the most memorable moment The Riott Squad has had on the main roster and hopefully, the WWE can keep this going and keep the trio feeling like a legitimate heel group.
