Report: Becky Lynch Removed From Survivor Series Card

Monday Night Raw got injected with a dose of SmackDown Live’s biggest star Becky Lynch, as “The Man” showed up to make her presence known before she takes on Ronda Rousey in a highly anticipated bout at Survivor Series. However, per Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, that match could be in trouble.

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey only had a couple of weeks to hype their Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series, but because of their work on the mic and on social media, they successfully got fans to buy into this dream bout.

Their back-and-forth jabs culminated when Lynch and the other members of the SmackDown Live Women’s division invaded Raw and caused absolute carnage inside and outside of the ring. It was a powerful scene that ended with a bloodied, yet confident Becky Lynch staring down Ronda Rousey from the crowd. Even though it made for an awesome image, Lynch’s bloody face might be the cause of a major Survivor Series shake-up.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that Lynch may have broken her nose and suffered a concussion during the scrap on Monday night. Sources informed Sapp that Lynch’s injuries would cause her to miss her upcoming match against Rousey.

WWE has not issued a statement on Becky’s reported injuries or her status for Sunday’s Pay Per View, so stay tuned for more updates.

If this news turns out to be true, the Survivor Series card will take a huge hit, losing a match of this caliber. The bout had the potential to main event the show and was easily one of the more anticipated contests of the year. That being said, as always in wrestling, there’s a chance that this could be work. It would add to the already captivating storyline between the two and would only get more eyes glued to the WWE Network come Sunday night. Sapp agreed that with wrestling, anything is possible.

Hopefully we’ll get more answers on SmackDown Live, whether it be from Lynch herself or general manager Paige who coincidentally tweeted out her support for Lynch shortly after the news of her injuries broke.
