Tonight on Impact Wrestling, we’ll have one big championship match bound to light up Las Vegas brighter than the strip does. Brian Cage faces off against Sami Callihan for the X Division Championship, while Impact World Champion Johnny Impact will face Matt Sydal in a non-title match.

Impact Wrestling has two high-profile championship contests tonight for us as they air their first episode from their Las Vegas tapings. If tonight’s episode will be anything like the news points featured on Impact’s website, then prepare yourself to be inundated with gambling puns.

The most anticipated match for this evening has to be the X Division Championship match that will finally take place between X Division Champion Brian Cage and Sami Callihan.

Callihan, if you remember (and I’m sure you do), ended Brian Cage’s impressive undefeated streak at this year’s Bound for Glory. Since then, the two have been at odds constantly. Leading up to tonight, Callihan has taken it upon himself to humiliate Cage in any way he can, including beating up a Brian Cage “look-alike” at a RockStar Pro Wrestling event in Dayton.

Cage finally confronted Callihan at RockStar Pro last week, but he was met with a melee from Callihan, oVe, and seemingly the entire RockStar Pro roster, and the proud Ohioans left Cage lying in a heap.

Will Cage be able to exact his revenge on Callihan tonight in Vegas, or will Callihan be able to best Cage for the second time?

Impact World Champion Johnny Impact will be in action tonight, when he’ll have a match against Matt Sydal in a non-title bout. Sydal has obviously been hanging around with Impact newcomer Ethan Page, but Johnny Impact has proven that he can do alright against numbers before (we’re looking at you Moose and Killer Kross).

My Favorite Wrestler and My Impact Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard will be in action tonight, albeit it’s not yet known with whom. Tessa has of course been involved in a feud with Taya Valkyrie, and their last contest ended with a disqualification when Tessa hit the referee to avoid losing her championship.

I’m sure there are definitely more than a few women in the back who’d like their opportunity against Tessa (hello, can you say Jordynne Grace?), but I’d be inclined to believe that we’ll see a bit of Taya tonight as well.

Tune in tonight for all this and more on POP TV, 10PM/9PM Central (I’m getting used to it now, thanks for asking), and follow along with us for live results and review of tonight’s episode!
