4. Who can restore prestige to the United States title?

Shinsuke Nakamura is the reigning United States Champion, but I cannot blame you if you need a weekly remainder said title still existing in the WWE. The title hasn’t been defended more than a handful of times and even Nakamura himself hasn’t made an impact on the show after winning the title. The only thing he has come up with is referring to the United States as ‘Naka-Merica‘ which in itself does not make much sense.

So what can be done about the whole US title situation? An ideal option would be someone like the Miz, who single-handedly made the Inter Continental Championship relevant once again in the WWE. One can be certain that the Hollywood A Lister can do the same with the United States title as well.

Even if the Miz cannot be interjected into the title scene at the moment, there are plenty of other options. From a returning Ray Mysterio to the ever intimidating Randy Orton, anyone can take over the title from Shinsuke at this point in time. How about Shelton Benjamin, who hasn’t had much to do since becoming a singles star? What about Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas? One can even work on a surprise title change in between by using R Truth’s unpredictability.

With so many options at creative’s disposal, one has to wonder why the title remains under-used and under-exposed, if not under-valued on Tuesday nights.
