Raw begins with Hoss Squad (Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley) standing tall in the middle of the ring. Baron Corbin calls the audience essentially lazy and gross for eating a bunch of crap at Thanksgiving, and Lashley calls the men who aren’t in the ring “beta”. Thumbs up, noted, everybody. Thanks.

Drew, at least, is thankful that the crew gave the beat down of a lifetime to Braun Strowman. Strowman is in Birmingham, AL, emphasis on the BIR is you’re Strowman, and he of course is counting the days on his Advent Calendar til he can get back in the ring and pull them all apart.

Corbin specifies that he expects himself to win by virtue that Braun will simply not show up to compete at TLC. So, to me, this smells funky, and I have a feeling now that we’re going to get to TLC thinking Corbin’s got no opponent, and boom, there’s Bray Wyatt. Don’t quote me on that last part though (okay, quote me if I end up being right).

The lights go out in the arena, and they don’t come back up until we hear that sweet, sweet music coming from Elias’s guitar. Elias’s piece for us this evening was entitled “Bobby Lashley Sucks”, and I would like to know who I can contact about making that my ringtone.

Elias vs. Bobby Lashley

McIntyre and Corbin are at ringside as Bobby Lashley takes control of Elias early. Elias sends Lashley flying out of the ring at one point, but as soon as he’s back in the ring, Lashley back laying huge stomps into Elias’s torso.

Elias lands a huge dropkick on Lashley, sending him straight into the corner. Elias rolls out of the ring, and Drew McIntyre straight up sneaks right up behind Elias like a velociraptor to intimidate him. The ref is having none of that though, and he yells to McIntyre, “don’t even think about it!”

When we come back from commercial, Elias is hitting some heavy haymakers into Lashley, knees him in the face, and then climbs up to the top rope to land elbow and almost won, but Lashley pulls the ref out of the ring. He almost gets disqualified, but Corbin gets on the mic to add that this is a NO DQ match now.

Elias doesn’t seem to mind, as he thrown McIntyre around at ringside and then grabs a chair. Corbin catches him on his way into the ring.

Everyone pretty much just starts assaulting Elias, even going so far as to catapult him Elias into the steel steps. This match is going on way too long, yet again. Finally, Lashley rolls Elias into the center of the ring, hits a few poses, and pins Elias with his shin. His shin.

Grade: Ugh, I mean whatever. It was another repetitive segment featuring Hoss Crew that went on longer than it needed to. Hey, maybe too-long matches is part of the heel gimmick. The best part was seeing just how hated Baron Corbin is by the WWE Universe. Guy’s a real heel’s heel.
