The Nov. 27 edition of WWE SmackDown was a crucial show for the blue brand with the future becoming clearer with already-existing feuds and a couple new feuds as well.

Last night’s WWE SmackDown saw the return of The Man, a celebration 20 years in the making, and a subsequent new feud to name just a few with the TLC pay-per-view adding one major match as well.

There’s a lot to be interested in with the blue brand these days and that bodes well with a new year rapidly approaching.  With that being said, let’s take a look at a few grades from the Nov. 27 edition of WWE SmackDown.

5. Opening Segment

The hottest superstar in the WWE and quite possibly the entire pro wrestling business has been Becky Lynch over the past couple of months.  She has reached a level of success and popularity that hasn’t been seen in a while, but another superstar is nipping at her heels.

Due to Lynch’s injury at the hands of Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair took her place at Survivor Series against Ronda Rousey and The Queen brought back her old self, or true self, by attacking Rousey after the match.  These two women had a lot to say in last night’s opening segment when GM Paige introduced The Man’s return.

Lynch was back to being the uber-confident champion she has been, but she wasn’t finished with Charlotte.  Lynch said that Charlotte had to become Lynch at Survivor Series just to hang with Rousey, but Charlotte didn’t take that too well.  The Queen said she wasn’t being anybody but herself because she realizes when the job needs to be done, she can change that quickly.  More shots got thrown around by both women at each other before the women’s division got involved.

Paige announced that it would be Lynch vs. Charlotte at TLC for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in the first-ever women’s TLC match, but that the winner of a battle royal later in the night would earn the right to join that match with it becoming a Triple Threat Match.  This was an impactful way to kick off the show with the two hottest superstars on the brand showing why they are at the top of their game.

It went downhill a little bit after the rest of the division came out, but this opening segment was very good overall.
