Why Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair Should All Main Event WrestleMania 35
While we are not yet officially on the Road to WrestleMania, these last couple months seem to have helped shape the main event of the supershow, with all signs pointing to the first ever WrestleMania main event to feature women wrestling. While the main event itself is still up in the air, prime candidates to walk into the main event are Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair.
Rumors have circulated for months that WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will walk into the main event of WrestleMania 35 against either Charlotte Flair or WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
Plans seemed to have originally called for Rousey vs Charlotte at WrestleMania, but due to the surprising emergence of Lynch as WWE’s most beloved Superstar, Lynch may take Flair’s place.
Fans continue to speculate who Rousey could face in the main event of WrestleMania: Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair. We only ask one question: why not both?

There have also been rumors suggesting that a possible Triple Threat is being considered between the three athletes, and honestly, that may be the best option right now. All three Superstars are intertwined into one of WWE’s hottest angles at the moment, and all three happen to be some of WWE’s most important talents.
It’s difficult to choose which two out of the three are the most deserving the main event the biggest show of the year, so the smartest option would be to throw all three of them into the mix.

Regardless of the nature of the story itself that gets them to the big stage, or how many titles are on the line, the fact remains that Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair all deserve a place in the first ever women’s main event. Few WWE Superstars – if any – have stepped up their game in 2018 as much as they have. All three have cemented themselves as not only the company’s hottest acts, but perhaps future first ballot Hall of Famers.
Ronda Rousey, with just a short amount of in-ring experience, has proven to be one of the most consistent performers that the main roster has to offer. More often than not, she manages to have the best match of the night regardless of who she’s in the ring with. Many of us expected the art of professional wrestling to come naturally to the former UFC Champion, but few expected her to have one of the most impressive rookie years in WWE history.
2018 was also the year that Charlotte Flair proved again why it could be argued that she is the best in-ring athlete in WWE today. A handful of her matches this year have been strong Match of the Year candidates. She’s also accomplished quite a lot over a 12-month period. In 2018, Flair has tied Trish Stratus for having the most women’s title reigns in WWE history, she was the first woman to beat Asuka in a WWE ring, and as of SummerSlam achieved more PPV wins than any other female Superstar.
Last but not least, Becky Lynch has undoubtedly become the breakout star of the year. She has successfully remodeled her entire character and presentation to startling results. Not only did the character transformation earn herself a second reign as WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, but it’s helped her become WWE’s most over Superstar. Whenever she steps into the ring, she enters to the loudest crowd reaction of the night.
Any wrestler who had the year that Flair, Rousey, and Lynch all had in 2018 deserves to have their legacy cemented in the main event of the Grandest Stage of Them All.
