Last week, WWE Raw was a bust to say the least. The episode was widely panned as one of the worst episodes of Raw in recent memory. Find out if I believe this week’s Raw has a shot at redeeming the red brand as we inch closer to Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

This past week’s Monday Night Raw was one of the worst episodes of WWE programming in recent memory. Although I feel statements like that are oftentimes overused, in this case, it’s quite warranted.

Last week, we saw Baron Corbin run roughshod over the entire roster in some sort of managerial abuse angle.

Normally, I tend to be prone to enjoying the classic heel general manager storylines like that. This time however, I was quite a bit more sour on the entire affair. It just seemed like a forced angle that only served to weaken the already depleted babyfaces on Raw.

In other words, it was just terrible booking.

Meanwhile, we were also treated to a rather uncomfortable promo duel between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey that led to the announcement of a tag match pitting Jax and Tamina against Rousey and Natalya for this week’s Raw.

Additionally, we also saw Dean Ambrose receive a shot to the rear end, literally, on Raw last week. My incredible annoyance with childish humor on WWE TV aside, it appears like Ambrose is ready to make an in-ring return this week. This leads to questions as to whether Ambrose and Rollins can turnaround their already fizzling feud and recapture the interest of the audience before their match at TLC.

When it’s all said and done, between the horrible Rousey versus Jax promo duel and Baron Corbin squashing the remaining fledgling babyfaces on the show, Raw last week felt like a Max Bialystock production from before he met Leo Bloom. It was utterly terrible from top to Dean Ambrose’s bottom. You really couldn’t have written a worse episode of Raw if you tried.

However, this week I predict the red brand may be able to actually find a way to redeem itself, and it all starts with righting the wrongs of the Baron Corbin attacks last week.
