WWE SmackDown Live: Results, Review, and Grades for December 4th
Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton
Jeff Hardy is out here for another match with Randy Orton! Woo-hoo!
Hardy gets an early lead on Orton. Orton manages to slam Hardy onto the announce table, but Hardy turns it right around on him and slams him onto the Spanish table in return.
That apparently doesn’t last long though, because when we get back from commercial, Orton is totally in control. Jeff powers out of a chin lock and hits a Whisper In the Wind, but it’s not enough to keep Orton down.
The two trade chops as the make their way back to their feet. Randy eventually hits the DDT off the middle rope ( Is this move called Vintage Orton at this point?), and he does the mat-pounding thing prepping for the RKO. Hardy counters the attempt, trying for the Twist of Fate. He climbs to the top rope for the Swanton, but Orton knocks him down and goes for a superplex.
Hardy knocks Orton off the rope and then hits the Twist of Fate. He climbs the rope one more time, but Randy rolls out of the ring. Hardy answers that with a kick to the face. He gets Orton on the announce table and climbs the ropes like he’s going to dive out onto him, but Samoa Joe suddenly appears on the screen, live from the bar. The distraction causes Jeff the loss.
Afterwards, Joe delivers a straight-up PSA on drinking to excess.
Grade: My least favorite of the night, but still good.
