3. Are we supposed to cheer or boo the Lucha House Party?
What exactly is the Lucha House Rules? Is it a weird mechanism for the trio to incorporate heel antics and handicap matches into their game? But then, they are a bunch of happy-go-lucky babyfaces who are all happy and jolly. They even bring a Piñata to the ring. Yet, when the bell rings, here they are, bending the rules and putting the opposition at a disadvantage.
Last week, it was a 2 on 3 handicap match basically against Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of the Revival. This week, they took it up a notch and it was literally a 3 on 1 handicap match against Dawson. On one hand it is bad enough that a superior tag team is being booked this way on the same show where a make-shift tag team is contending for the titles, along with its more than welcome share of ‘pee’ jokes. The fact that creative is basically making the babyfaces break rules to look cool is equally disturbing on the other hand.
How can a logical and reasonable fan with a sense of rational thinking cheer for the Luchadors at this point? The gimmick isn’t as popular as creative likes to think and quite frankly it is time to put an end to it. I wish Braun Strowman would come out in the middle of a match like he used to and take them out like he did to Sin Cara and Kalisto in the past.
