WWE SmackDown Live: Results, Review, and Grades for December 11th
Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair
It’s the main event that I low-key definitely forgot about until right now! Here comes Charlotte vs. Asuka, this time with a crappy Vegas intro!
Of course, here comes’s Becky Lynch out to oversee the match! The bell’s just rung, so hopefully these two aren’t too distracted.
Charlotte attempts a huge moonsault, which Asuka gets her knees up for. Asuka immediately goes for the Asuka lock.
When we return from commercial, these two are going strike-for-strike. Asuka gets a Black Widow (for lack of a better term) on Charlotte, which Charlotte eventually turns into a slam.
Charlotte powerbombs Asuka, but it doesn’t help with the pin attempt.
Charlotte locks the Figure 4, though she can’t quite lock the Figure 8. Asuka tries to turn around and reverse the pressure, and she succeeds.
Charlotte goes for another Figure 4, which Asuka avoids by kicking and flailing wildly.
Charlotte goes for the spear, but Asuka counters with a spear. Asuka lands her chest kicks and some fierce elbows until Charlotte can finally counter with another spear.
Charlotte attempts a moonsault that Asuka counters with some knees. After a struggle, Charlotte grabd a kendo stick from under the ring to DQ herself.
After the match, Becky Lynch shows off her championship and walking confidently away, until Charlotte attacks her with the kendo stick. Becky shoves Charlotte into the steel steps, and then she grabs the kendo stick and lays in on Charlotte. Asuka tosses Becky over the announce table and grabs the kendo stick, attacking Charlotte and Becky.
Grade: Could have been better, and surely will be at TLC.
