WWE TLC 2018 is the final pay-per-view of the year in 2018 and it is an important show for the future of both Raw and SmackDown heading into the new year.
This Sunday at WWE TLC 2018, there are several important matches that will go a long way for both the red brand and the blue brand with championships at stake and rivalries hanging in the balance.
There are a few key storylines heading into this pay-per-view, but which three storylines are the biggest? With that being said, let’s take a look at the three biggest storylines heading into WWE TLC 2018.
3. Who Will Challenge Baron Corbin?
Heel authority figures are nothing new to the WWE, but the latest one over on Monday nights has been running amok over the past couple of months. Baron Corbin started out as a constable for then-GM Kurt Angle, but has since developed into the self-labeled future permanent GM of Raw.
Corbin has butted heads with countless superstars in recent weeks and months, but one, in particular, stood out above the rest. The issues between Corbin and Braun Strowman led to the acting GM helping Brock Lesnar win the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel by attacking Strowman before the match started. Corbin wasn’t finished there, however.
Alongside Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley, Corbin helped put The Monster Among Men out of commission with a three-on-one attack and now it appears as though the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match that was scheduled to take place between Corbin and Strowman this Sunday is off the table. Even though Strowman appears to be out of TLC, with how things have gone recently, could another superstar decide to challenge Corbin?
If Corbin wins at TLC, he will be the full-time GM on Raw. His poor track record as acting GM of Raw has been brought to light recently, so seeing someone step up and fill in for Strowman could be likely. Maybe Angle comes back and ends the Corbin era, who knows. Or maybe another superstar comes out of nowhere to rid Monday nights of Corbin’s tyranny. Don’t count out Strowman’s unexpected return either.
Regardless of what happens, don’t expect to see Corbin win via forfeit on Sunday and expect some last-minute fireworks.
