WWE Raw: 3 Possible GM Replacements For Baron Corbin Following TLC Loss
Kurt Angle
Prior to his permanent vacation from the Raw General Manager position, Kurt Angle was the man bickering with Stephanie McMahon on a weekly basis. He also had a bit of a rivalry with Corbin, once eliminating him in a battle royal while disguised as “The Conquistador”, which allowed Angle to enter the “Best in the World” tournament at Crown Jewel (where he would lose to eventual finalist Dolph Ziggler in the first round).
Angle had a fairly average run as the Raw GM, but fans picked apart his mistakes on the microphone and disliked his dynamic with Stephanie. While Angle is an entertaining actor and quick with one-liners, such as when he joked that he never heard of a university that teaches people to be “certified G’s”, his longer promos were a drag on the show.
One of the most beloved wrestlers in history and a WWE Hall of Famer, Angle wouldn’t be the worst option, but we’ve already seen him in the Raw GM role for over a year. There were some highs, but it’s best for WWE to move in a different direction with the Pittsburgh native.
Still, Angle has to be mentioned as Corbin’s possible replacement. After all, he has beef with Corbin, he was the last man to hold the job in an official capacity, and he did show up at TLC to beat Corbin up with a chair.
