Ronda Rousey enters the arena to a surprising big pop. I guess everyone’s putting their desire to see Ronda vs. Charlotte and Becky over their distaste for the fact that Ronda cost Becky the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Which is fine, I’m just saying.

Oh wait, there are some boos. The crowd is chanting something that I couldn’t understand. It then just turns into “Becky” chants.

Oh, as soon as she insinuates Becky’s not a real champion, all bets are off. Who ever cares what Ronda’s saying at this point – the crowd wants Becky.

Ronda wants to make it a thing where the champion defends their title the next day after a pay-per-view. Literally everyone in the back is chomping at the bit for this championship opportunity, and so Stephanie McMahon decides that Ronda’s challenger will be decided in a gauntlet match.

Raw Women’s Championship Contender Gauntlet Match

Bayley and Alicia Fox start out the match. They go back and forth until Bayley get the pin, and out comes Dana Brooke. She lands a big enziguri right off the bat, and she’s really laying into Bayley. Bayley hits some huge elbows to Dana’s head. Bayley advances again with the Bayley-to-Belly.

Bayley is in the middle of a bout with Mickie James when we get back from commercial. Bayley eventually gets driven out of the ring, and when Mickie tries to slide out, Bayley catches Mickie on the ropes, but her knee gives out. Bayley hits a crossbody, and her knee’s still out. Bayley hits an elbow, but Mickie grabs the bottom rope.

Mickie James knocks off Bayley with a DDT, and out comes Ember Moon next. These two both look strong as hell; Ember brings the power, and Mickie is as sharp as anything.

Ember is in the midst of slamming Mickie to the mat when we get back from commercial. Ember eventually hits the Eclipse to eliminate Mickie.

Out comes Natalya! Ember tries to roll her up REAL quick, but not so fast!

Natalya hits a huge discuss clothesline, but it’s not enough to secure the pin. Natalya’s trying to for the Sharp Shooter, but Ember reverses. Natalya wins on a roll-up, wow!

Ruby Riott’s out next! Deja vu all over again, huh?

Ruby has Natalya in a head lock when we get back from commercial. Natalya nearly gets a roll-up pin on Ruby, but Ruby powers out and lands a huge clothesline. Natalya eventually gets the roll-up on Ruby to eliminate her.

Then, of course, there’s Sasha Banks. Sasha comes in hot, and she goes for a big stomp from off the top rope, but Nataly rolls away. Sasha hits a DDT for the pin, but Natalya kicks out.

Natalya hits a big stomp and a basement dropkick on Sasha, and she grabs Sasha for the Sharp Shoote, but Sasha powers out. Natalya hits the Sharp Shooter again, and Sasha tries to walk herself to the ropes, but Natalya drives her back. Sasha rolls Natalya into the ropes to break the hold.

Sasha rolls Natalya into a single-leg crab. Natalya tries to power out, but it’s getting tough. Banks locks the Bank Statement! Natalya’s reaching for the ropes, but Natalya rolls back. Natalya Germans Banks backwards (with a really tough landing from Banks).

Sasha lands a stiff kick before hitting Natalya with a Meteora; it only gets her a two-and-a-half count. Banks grabs Natalya’s arm, looking for the Bank Statement, but Nattie sends her face-first into the mat. Natalya lands the Sharpshooter, and Sasha taps out.

Natalya will have a opportunity at Ronda Rousey’s Raw Women’s Championship.

Rousey raises Natalya’s hand after the match, and the two share a hug and a handshake. The crowd is seemingly booing Rousey again.
