The Dec. 17th edition of WWE Raw was a night that promised change not only for Monday nights, but the entire WWE in general with big changes lined up for the future.

Last night’s WWE Raw was an important night for the future of the red brand with the McMahon family on hand to announce that things are going to change for the better.

The shakeup will continue in the coming weeks and months, but last night was a decent enough step in the right direction.  With that being said, let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the Dec. 17th edition of WWE Raw.

5. The Revival Must Capture The Raw Tag Team Championship

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are tag team purists that respect the lineage of tag team wrestling.  However, throughout most of 2018, that hasn’t led to the success the duo should have reached and often times, they have been grossly mistreated creatively.

This creative mistreatment got focused on a couple of weeks ago when Seth Rollins pointed out how ridiculous of a job Baron Corbin had been doing as acting GM.  Last night saw The Revival finally get a real chance at success when they took part in a Fatal 4-Way tag team match alongside The B-Team, The Lucha House Party, and The Authors Of Pain.

The winner of that match would go on to earn a Raw Tag Team Championship opportunity against Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, so The Revival really needed the win.  Another loss would have been contradictory given how much apparent change is coming to Monday nights, but thankfully, it didn’t come to that.

Action picked up towards the end with teams getting laid out left and right, but Dawson and Wilder were able to take advantage and after pinning Bo Dallas of The B-Team, The Revival won the match and became number one contenders.  This has to lead to tag team gold, there’s just no other way around it.  It is beyond time to give The Revival the Raw Tag Team Championship, and it has to happen sooner rather than later.

The creative mistreatment must stop and one of the most talented teams in the world must finally reach the pinnacle of the red brand’s tag team division.
