2. Baron Corbin Steals A Win From Seth Rollins

These last weeks have been rough for Baron Corbin.

He’s been on the receiving end of several steel chair beatdowns, publicly lost his job, and has been on somewhat of an in-ring losing streak to top it all off. At this point, it may seem like Corbin would be in need of a Christmas miracle to turn his luck around.

Actually though, all Baron Corbin will need is a little help from Dean Ambrose in order to beat Seth Rollins this week.

It just doesn’t seem to make sense for WWE to completely ruin a superstar they’ve spent months pushing as a threat by having him continually lose every match and rivalry. Although WWE has certainly done that in the past, this is a “fresh start” for the company, which may just mean Corbin is due to pick up a win on Raw.

Dean Ambrose will also assuredly be looking for some revenge on Rollins this week for his masked attack last episode, so I bet Ambrose makes his presence known right before Rollins is about to stomp the lights out of Corbin.

This leads to Corbin getting a surprise roll-up victory, giving the former general manager-elect a measure of revenge for these past few weeks, while keeping the mind games between Ambrose and Rollins going strong.

While I doubt we see Corbin added to the Intercontinental Championship scene after this, hopefully it will be the final chapter in his general manger storyline, allowing WWE Raw to move on and put him in a fresh feud for The Royal Rumble.

Another stale storyline should also come to a conclusion this week on Raw as well, perhaps after one superstar receives a surprise push to become one of the early favorites to win The Royal Rumble itself.
