25. Velveteen Dream

You’ve probably been waiting for the NXT superstar that gets the call this year. Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano are great alternatives, but there really is only one answer if we’re limited to just one. The Velveteen Dream is the PERFECT choice to debut in the Royal Rumble. He has the look, the aura and everything else needed to make a grand entrance to a raucous ovation.

26. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura’s 2018 Royal Rumble capped a tremendous match and made fans jump out of their seats in applause, as they felt the WWE had finally gotten it right.

Unfortunately, Nakamura didn’t go on to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, but he did see success soon after when he captured the United States Championship.

I think fans would be surprised if Nakamura won two years in a row, but we’ve seen stranger things in the WWE.

27. Drew McIntyre

If you make a list of favorites to win the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble, Drew McIntyre has to be near the top of that list. McIntyre has quickly climbed the ranks of the WWE thanks to his dedication and brutality.

A win like this would be a truly feel-good moment even if the man isn’t beloved by fans. The man worked incredibly hard to get back to the WWE and turned himself into a legitimate star. After what he’s been through to get where he is now, a Royal Rumble win would be huge and a potential battle with Brock Lesnar or Braun Strowman doesn’t sound bad either.
