Raw Tag Team Championship: The Deleters Of Worlds

The Raw Tag Team Championship struggled mightily in 2018 to stay relevant, there’s no denying that.  The constant lack of direction and make-shift teams plagued the championship throughout much of the year, and it continues heading into 2019, but one team managed to make something out of being Raw Tag Team Champions.

Matt Hardy’s Woken gimmick in the WWE never quite reached the level it was on in TNA, but it did lead to an entertaining tag team with former rival Bray Wyatt.  Dubbed The Deleters Of Worlds, Hardy and Wyatt captured the Raw Tag Team Championship at the Greatest Royal Rumble from The Bar and went on a nearly three-month-long title reign.

Wyatt’s career was stumbling at the time he teamed up with Hardy, but thanks to his Woken brilliance, The Eater Of Worlds found new relevancy for a while.  The Deleters Of Worlds dropped the Raw Tag Team Championship to The B-Team at Extreme Rules and would fail to regain the titles in the coming weeks.  Not only did they not regain the titles, but they would also end up disbanding through what appears to be Hardy’s retirement.

Hardy appears to be done with wrestling and Wyatt hasn’t been seen on Raw since, but The Deleters Of Worlds take the distinction as the best Raw Tag Team Champions of 2018.  The year wasn’t kind to the Raw Tag Team Championship, but Hardy and Wyatt made the most out of their run with the gold.  Throughout all of the dysfunction creatively, The Deleters Of Worlds made an impact.

Hopefully, 2019 is much kinder to the Raw Tag Team Championship, but the best reign of the year for 2018 goes to The Deleters Of Worlds.
