Paul Heyman Sings
So Paul Heyman sang “Silent Night” in a spoofed version that made fun of Braun Strowman, who earned an opportunity at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title at the Royal Rumble PPV. It was surreal, it was a TRIP, and it was the Christmas gift I didn’t really know I needed. And based on the mildly amused boos of the crowd, I probably wasn’t the only one who felt that way.
The rest of Heyman’s rambling about the match is barely worth noting, and he was predictably interrupted by an unamused Strowman, who grew tired of listening to yet another Heyman diatribe from backstage..
Scared senseless, Heyman wished Strowman a merry Christmas, happy Hanukah, and happy Kwanza all in one breath before Strowman dressed him up in a Rudolph “costume”. And yes, it was one heck of a visual.
Strowman sent his pointed threat at Lesnar before screaming, raising his hands, and uplifting the crowd’s spirits after they had to listen to Heyman’s rendition of Silent Night. (To be honest, Heyman was a better singer than I expected.)
Grade: C, Heyman and Strowman were somewhat entertaining here, but this was just a light way of reminding the crowd that Strowman and Lesnar have a big match coming up in about a month. You can feel free to skip this segment.
