Truthy Claus

R-Truth is dressed up as Santa Claus and Carmella is dressed up as an elf, and, yes, this was a trip. Daniel Bryan decided to come out and tell the audience that while he accepts that he has to spend his time in a cesspool as a WWE Superstar and not with his family over the holidays, he will not accept Truthy Claus.

Bryan says that Truth and Mella are fickle, and he adds that he’s here to “expose” the real Santa Claus, calling him the epitome of the audience’s cheap and materialistic desires. And another environmentalist rant is incoming. As always, though, Bryan does have his points.

But he crossed the line with this comment, “R-Truth’s career is nothing more than a tired, old joke.”

I mean, c’mon, man!

The classy WWE Champion wasn’t done yet, though. He remarked to Truth that he can’t win the Royal Rumble if he can’t count to 30, interrupting his dance break with a beatdown before throwing a tantrum. Bryan locked in a heel hook, kept on stomping, and seemed to be only fueled even more by Carmella’s pleas and the crowds boos.

A second heel hook for R-Truth? Just call Bryan “The Grinch” from here on out.

Grade: B-, Truth was funny and this was some more good heel work from Bryan, but you can feel free to skip this segment if you’re pressed for time. It was just some hilarious Christmas Day shenanigans from Truth and Mella, impeded by the evil Bryan.
